Date: 2010-02-02 10:17 am (UTC)I can never get my head around HOW these events cost so much. I know it's apparantly all down to "security" and things, but 50 security guards, paid £20 an hour, on duty for 24 hours, for a week, only comes to £168,000, even adding a private jet and rooms at a posh hotel I can't work out where the rest goes!
No wonder the country's broke...
He should pay for himself, (an easyjet from Rome's about £50 ;p) especially if he's going to come over here and have a pop at our equality rights!
