Dear Mr. Clegg,

Please, please, please have the balls to turn down a coalition with Labour AND the Conservatives. If Cameron is forced to form a minority government then you, your party and the other progressive parties can force him to offer a referendum on electoral reform as an alternative to a vote of no confidence.

Come on, am I the only one who can see this as the logical result? The country has spoken and a Conservative minority government that won't be able to gut public spending __is__ what we want.

That sounds ok to me; they'll make themselves so massively unpopular that they don't get elected next time around, hopefully!

The problem is that if they bring down a minority government, the electorate may not look kindly upon them... it's such a tricky situation.

do _we_ really want unworkable minority government or the real political change that could come from coalition? Or do we just want to re-run the election over and over until the Lib Dems win?

A vote of no confidence would probably please the Conservatives greatly - they could then just re-run the election and return a working majority. I really, really want to see a fair electoral system brought in before another election.
