This evening, on my way home from London, I went to the Apple store to buy an iMac. That's quite precipitous you might think, but my Apple laptop has developed a potentailly fatal fault, and I need to send it away to get it fixed, but that would leave me without a computer... I had been planning to buy a desktop mac for a while anyway, I had just been hoping to put it off a bit longer, but hey-ho... Anyway, today's portrait is of the jolly friendly chap who served me, so thanks Michael, and here's the first portrait posted from my iMac...

He does have the MacStore Grin (tm) that I remember from Boston.
Also, I like the shot :)

Date: 2008-02-28 04:22 pm (UTC)Looks like it could cost me anywhere between £150 and £700 to get the Macbook Pro fixed - I shoulda bought AppleCare... Still it's cheaper than buying a new one at £1299.00
I will be buying Applecare for the iMac though - even though I might not need it, it is a pretty financially sensible insurance policy.
Ah yes, the "MacStore Grin(tm)" - it is nice that I have never seen anyone in there being short-tempered or impatient with stupid customers...
