Carey and his family (wife Barbara and children Sam and Sarah) have lived over the road from my parents for nearly as long as my parents have lived in Chorley. Sam was a playmate to my younger brother, this year he achieved a first in his degree - time marches ever on and on. Carey's interest in living life has ever been evident, and he and my father have sailed and camped with their sons for as long as I can remember, with the whole two families coming together even now for dinners and days out, like the open air concert that we went to together last August. Both Carey and Barbara are the kind of neighbours that your parents tell you to go to "if there's a problem", but they have also been (and one hopes will long continue to be) great fun to go to just for fine company.
