Very nice pictures you have on flickr.

Damn tourist! You should visit San Diego and Seattle, but San Francisco is a good start! People will love you because of YOUR accent! I know you don't think you've got one, but you do have one when you're here. It's hiding behind your left ear, or something.

How did you manage to get a completely empty cable car? Nice shot!

Thanks mon ami - it was pure luck... There had been a problem with the turn-around and so the cable cars were backed up and so while we were waiting to leave there was a car behind us that was just sitting empty. I was at the back of the one I was on, and the brakeman was not yet in place, so I was able to just stand in the middle and snap away until I got exactly the frame that I wanted.

Thanks very much, I'm glad that you like :-)

Yeah, tourism is my thing this week - I make no apology. Seattle is very much on my list, in fact I will probably get there next year in the spring. Tell me why I should prioritise San Diego..?

Cool!

Hehehe, I always get "I loooove your accent" when I'm in the US, although I'm not even British and have a foreign accent of my own.

Well, the Mexican food is the best, here in San Diego. It's right next to the border. Besides that, there's a lot of touristy things to do: The San Diego Zoo and the Wild Animal Park, balboa Park, the Embarcadero, Sea World and world class beaches.

German accents are cool too.

You think so? I dislike German accents and am glad that mine is only slight (it's more like a generic European accent). Most Americans think I'm from the UK so all is good. ;o)

Well, Arnold Schwarzenegger has made it a long way with his German accent. It's too bad that he reminds me of another infamous Austrian, being the self proclaimed "People's Governor". I wish he would go back to just plain old acting.
