Writer's Block: Single pride day

I'll be having wine, food and non-romantic film(s) with another single friend. I was tempted to make a properly traditional, anonymous declaration, but have decided that the "day" is so far gone from that original spirit that this "move" on my part would be both meaningless and taint both the potential future therein and be an all around bad idea, as I would be trying to start something under the auspices of an institution that I rather despise.
