So, it was Christmas Day, and as such a family shot for "portrait of the day" was in order - so here is my 'little' brother, by the mantle in my parents' front room - Merry Christmas, everyone.
This morning I joined my parents and their friends Carey (#78) and Barbara and their fab Golden Retriever, Harvey, for a Boxing Day constitutional around the Yarrow Country Park. It's a lovely spot on the edge of my parents' home town in the UK, which was recently reclaimed from being a landfill and turned into a local beauty spot, which has since become a haven for bird life. I met Tony by the small stream that has become the favourite hunting ground of the noted local kingfisher, and not only did I borrow a teleconverter from him (mine being back in Reading), but we also chatted about cameras, subjects (i.e. Wildlife) and this project came up in the conversation, at which point I 'popped the question' and he was more than happy to be in it, so here he is, and I am one day closer with the aid of yet another lovely, friendly stranger :-)
